El 11 de julio, la Directora de la Dirección de Gestión de Personas (DGP) de la Universidad de Chile, Sra. Fabiola Divin, convocó a las Asociaciones Gremiales de la Universidad para presentar la implementación de la Ley 21.643. En representación de APROTEC, participaron la Secretaria General Lidia Gonzáles y el Director Oscar Silva.
En esta reunión, la Directora de la DGP expuso las diversas etapas y mecanismos que se están desarrollando para la implementación de la Ley 21.643 (Ley Karin) en la Universidad de Chile. Esta ley tiene como objetivo primordial prevenir, eliminar y sancionar el acoso laboral, sexual y la violencia dentro de las empresas y organizaciones. En esencia, busca fortalecer el compromiso de las instituciones para asegurar el bienestar físico y psicológico de todas las personas, garantizando su derecho a un entorno seguro.
Desde APROTEC, subrayamos la importancia de la implementación efectiva de esta ley en nuestra institución, con especial énfasis en el Hospital Clínico de la Universidad de Chile, uno de los organismos con mayor número de denuncias de maltrato y acoso laboral. Es crucial trabajar para erradicar la cultura del maltrato, la violencia y la discriminación que afecta a las y los trabajadores. Asimismo, abogamos por la concientización y formación en temas de género y derechos humanos dirigida a jefaturas, decanaturas y directivos, para que sean líderes en la promoción de ambientes laborales libres de violencia y acoso.
Manifestamos a la DGP la necesidad de conocer de primera mano las particularidades y la cultura en las diferentes unidades y servicios de la Universidad de Chile, con el fin de enfocar adecuadamente los esfuerzos en la implementación de la Ley Karin. Es vital que se comprendan las realidades específicas de cada unidad para poder aplicar la ley de manera efectiva y justa.
Como APROTEC, nos comprometemos a fiscalizar rigurosamente la correcta implementación de esta ley, asegurando que se cumplan estrictamente los protocolos y se manejen adecuadamente las situaciones de maltrato que afecten a las y los trabajadores de nuestra universidad.
